7th/8th Girls
Basketball practices at Woonsocket today.
The 7th and 8th Grade
Girls Basketball team have a tournament coming up on November 14th in
Alexandria. Notes were sent home last week with players with information and
practice times on it. Their first practice is schedule for this Wednesday, at
Woonsocket. If some 7th/8th Graders have church and
cannot make it to practice that is fine.
The 5th/6th Grade
girls and boys travel to JVC on Saturday for a tournament. A schedule can be
found on the Google Drive.
The 5th/6th Grade
Girls & Boys Basketball Practice and Game Schedule has been added to the
Google Drive. There have been updates made to the schedule. Due to conflicts
with W. Springs, we have switched the home and away games with Wess.
Springs. We also changed a 4PM start time for Oct. 19.
Academics
Mitchell Technical Institute will
be hosting My Technical Interest Days again this year. Registration forms and
additional information about the events can be found atwww.mitchelltech.edu/admissions/campus-events and
on the attached flier.
MyTI (pronounced
"mighty") Days are an opportunity for students, along withinstructors, counselors, and administrators to
visit the programs at Mitchell Technical Institute that are the “next steps” in
career clusters of interest. The student may be enrolled those program courses
in high school or just have an interest in that area
The following are the dates for
the camps:
November 10, 2015 – Business
November 10, 2015 – Cyber
November 18, 2015 – Scrubs
March 8, 2016 – Culinary
You will notice that there is not
a grade level of attendance for MyTI Days. I would say that camp is geared more
toward that sophomore or junior student
that is in the midst of career exploration, but I wouldn't discourage a senior who is trying to figure out what
to do next year or a freshman with
a great deal of interest in that area to apply either.
Registration is
limited, so I would encourage your students to apply early.
Band
Students: The
Blackhawks Band is looking for a design to go on their new trailer!! The
trailer will be all black. All designs are welcome. Designs will be due Monday
morning Nov. 16th when they will be voted on. Winner will receive pizza
party for themselves and up to 4 friends!!
The new
design will be unveiled at the Indoor Marching Band Concert Monday Nov. 16th.
FFA
The SC/W FFA
membership voted $20 individual dues at the October chapter meeting.

scarves, and headbands again! If you would like a form come see Emily.
The WEPC is collecting the
following items for our elementary school: Box Tops for Education, Coborn's Labels for Learning (found at
the bottom of your Coborn's receipt), Campbell's Soup Labels for
Education, pop tabs, and Coca-Cola points. Please save these for us even
