On December 31st, Rob
Baruth (SC/W Girls Basketball Coach) found out that his Cancer (Melanoma) had
returned. He had been cancer free for 10 years. This time the cancer reoccurred
on his right lower lung. A shirt order form has been added to the Google Drive
if you would like to order.
Athletics
The Girls and
Boys Basketball Teams travel to Hanson tonight for a DH. Girls and Boys C games
start at 4PM followed by the Girls and Boys JV. The Boys will play in the
Downtown Gym and the Girls will play in the High School Gym. Girls V will start
at 6:15PM with boys following.

The 3/4 girls bb team
will have a couple of scrimmages with Wessington Springs this Thursday Night in
Woonsocket. We will play at halftime of the JH game (approx. 5:30) and at
halftime of the JV game (approx. 6:15pm) Please have the players to
Woonsocket by 5pm. Have the girls wear any blackhawk shirt that is black
in color and some basketball shorts.
There will be a 3/4
girls bb round robin scrimmage on Saturday, Jan. 30th in Woonsocket with
Iroquois and Wolsey-Wessington. We will begin at 10am with SCW vs.
Iroquois. Rest of schedule will be completed this week. Please have
the girls in Woonsocket by 9:45am. Again wear a blackhawk shirt of any
kind that is black in color and some basketball shorts.

Winterguard would like to invite you to their Send-Off Show Saturday 1pm at
Sanborn Central. Get a chance to see them perform before they take it to the
competition this weekend in Minneapolis!!

Woonsocket Community Library are planning a used book sale for
Thursday, January 28th. If you have clean used books and magazines
in good shape that you would like to donate, you may bring them to the
library during library hours anytime prior to the 28th.
