Happy Birthday to Isabel Miller &
Dilyn Brooks
The 6th Grade Class will be
performing a Talent Show Tuesday, December 20th at 9:30 at Prairie
View.
This year our school participated in the Q107.3 quiz bowl
competition. We were sponsored locally by Hegg Insurance. This year’s
team consisted of Tristan Ziebart, Nathan Linke, Taylor Burkel, and alternates
Wyatt Feistener, and Riley Schmiedt. After losing our first round match,
the team continued on in the double elimination competition to make it to the
final round which will be held live on
stage at the Pepsi Cola theatre on January 14th.
Student camps are opportunities for students (7/9th -12th) to
explore career opportunities which they are interested in. I often receive
this information in my office and hang the poster in the hall; however,
very little interest is generated. There are several camp opportunities
from agriculture to cyber camp to police academy to scrubs camp. I
have created a folder in the (Woonsocket/Sanborn Central) google drive
where I will house this information and will inform you of new opportunities as
they arise in the announcements! This weeks opportunity is SD Troop Academy
learning about state troopers.
Thanks!
Payments made on lunch
accounts since Dec. 6th will be posted after Christmas break as Luci has
been out of the office. If you receive a low balance notification
and have sent a recent payment, please disregard the notice. Thank
you

Winterguard
MONDAY, JANUARY 9TH AT SC 5:45.
HELP WANTED……. We have a fantastic Winterguard
Organization which practices several times a week. These young
ladies put many hours of hard work into this program, unfortunately our
competitions are all in Minneapolis. We are estimating the expense
per participant (travel, costume, drill, equipment, circuit membership fee) at
about $500 per student. The members plan on doing some fund
raising, but past experience has proven that we will fall short. We
have some students who have been attending practices faithfully, but realize
financially they won’t be able to afford it. At this time we are
hoping to find sponsors – not to just hand money over, but to provide these
members with jobs to earn their way. If you are willing to
help us out – please contact Mr. Kroeger at brett.kroeger@k12.sd.us
Lunch Menu
If school is late due to inclement weather, we will not be
offering breakfast.
