Coronation is tonight at 7PM,
immediately after the activities will be the burning of the W. Band students
need to be at coronation at 6:30PM with instruments.
Jr. Real will take place on
Wednesday, September 23rd from 9:15 to 1:45 for Juniors and Seniors.

Volleyball Parents night will now
be September 22nd.
The Boosters are missing the
following items from the concession stand: hot dog cooker, money tray, and
broom/dust pan. Please return them to
the concession stand!! There were also a large blue cooler in the Concession Stand, if yours please come and pick up.
Faulkton Land and Range School is
this Wednesday. Bus leaves from Woonsocket at 6:45AM. Those attending are: Nathan
L., Matt T., Callie B., Bailey S., Sydney Z., Alissa B.

on Saturday.
Cross Country travels to Dell
Rapids on Wednesday. They will leave at 11:30AM.
Freshmen need to bring old
clothes for the burning of the "W". They can be dropped off in Mrs.
Klaas's room by Monday, September
21st.
Change in our Schedule-- Due to
conflicts with Lifetouch our Picture Retake Day has been moved to Monday,
October 5th.
Picture Retakes are on October
5th. There are picture forms in Emily’s office if you need one.
The WEPC is collecting the
following items for our elementary school: Box Tops for Education, Coborn's Labels for Learning (found at
the bottom of your Coborn's receipt), Campbell's Soup Labels for
Education, pop tabs, and Coca-Cola points. Please save these for us even
if you don't have a student in the elementary school as it takes an
entire community to help their school thrive. Please give any of these
you have to a WEPC member or the school. Thank you for your support!!!

adding a few activities to the week.
Monday: Coronation at 7PM
Wednesday: HoCo Night at the Football Field 8:30 PM.
Battle of the classes in various games and activities. Make sure to wear your
class color!

Planbook is a new feature we will
be using this school year. It allows students and parents to view teacher's
lessons online. A Planbook link has been added to the Quick Links on the School
Website. Just click on the link and it will take you directly to the Planbook
Website. When you are on the Planbook homepage make sure you click on
student view. Then type in the teacher's email and the correct
password which is located on the Planbook Page on the Website.

We are in the process of making
changes and updates to the School Website. The Woonsocket School News,
Woonsocket Google Drive, and now the new Planbook are all located on there
under the quick links on the left hand side of the Homepage.
STUDENTS WITH 40 or more points
for the quarter earn a donut/juice
party with Mr. Weber. Several
students have already achieved that goal at the halfway point of the
quarter. Several students have earned over half of the party goal points. Check
the point list on the bulletin board outside the library.
Registration is currently open
for the Teens As Teachers fall training held at the SDSU Extension Regional
Centers. Training date options include October 12, 13 and 14. Teams may be
affiliated with a school, 4-H Club or other organization. Four different
content area curriculums are available for teams to choose to teach including:
Character Education; Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM);
Nutrition Education; and TeachSD (teaching technology to adults over 50). For a

please contact Mr. Weber or Mrs. Johnson.
FFA Members: Please try on
your FFA jacket to make sure it still fits! The FFA Chapter will buy back
jackets that are in good condition for $25. You can then put this money
towards a new jacket (about $50). There are also jacket scholarships
available. Contact Mr. Gross for more information.
The 5th/6th Grade
Girls & Boys Basketball Practice and Game Schedule has been added to the
Google Drive. Schedules and Parent Contact information were sent home last week.
The Homecoming Theme this year is
Superheroes.

Welcome back to church and
Wednesday Night Live. We are extremely excited to see everyone again!
Wednesday Night Live will
officially start on Wednesday, September 16th. The weekly sessions will
be held from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. As a reminder, we will be taking
offering each week and supper will not be served. Each Wednesday we will
have a lesson/activity for the kids and also enjoy some group singing.

There is a Youth Volleyball
Clinic being held on Saturday, September 26th from 9 AM to Noon for Girls in
grades 1st-6th. Mitchell Volleyball coach Deb Thill along with her staff
and players will be conducting the camp. You can sign up online at
cityofmitchell.org or at the Rec Center in Mitchell. Deadline to register is
September 21st. There is a $20 fee which includes a t-shirt.
