School News

School will be dismissed at 1:30PM today! We hope everyone has a safe and fun summer!!



ASSE International Student Exchange Programs is looking for local families willing to host high-school-aged children from other countries.
The students, both boys and girls, will be between the ages of 15 and 18 and are interested in learning about American culture, as well as sharing their own. Students will have spending money to cover personal expenses and have full health, accident and liability insurance. Students are selected for the program based on academics and host families can choose teens from a variety of countries, backgrounds and interests.

Region Track Meet at DeSmet tomorrow. Leave time is 7AM!!


All Golfers:  
Friday, 20th, CBH Varsity Tourny at Fish Lake.


Other dates:   May 23: Practice round for Pre-Region at Madison.
                          May 24: Pre-Region at Madison.
                          May 31: Region at Madison.
                          June 6 & 7: State at Rapid City.


The Summer Volleyball 7-12 Schedule is now on the Google Drive.


The Girls’ Basketball Summer Schedule is on the Google Drive.

The Boys’ Basketball Summer Schedule is on the Google Drive.


The SCW Girl’s Basketball Program is having DWU Women’s Basketball Team come in this summer to do a individual skills camp for girls’ in grades (as of fall 2016) 3-8 this June. The camp will be June 23rd at the Woonsocket Gym. Forms are being sent home today with students. Please return forms by the end of the school year to Emily.


The Sports Academy is back for this Summer! Registration Forms and Information can be found on the Google Drive.

Mr. Gross will be putting on an informational night for parents about Supervised Agricultural Experiences (SAEs).  This informational night will cover the following:
  • What is an SAE
  • The types of SAEs (Entrepreneurship, Placement, or Agribusiness)
  • The expectations of SC/W FFA members as related to SAEs (during the school year and the summer)
  • How to access the record keeping system the FFA uses (www.theaet.com)
  • How to enter basic SAE records
  • FFA awards from SAE projects (proficiency awards, SD FFA Star awards)
Monday, May 16th in the Sanborn Central Ag Room at 7 p.m.
Tuesday, May 17th in the Woonsocket Ag Room at 7 p.m.

Soils Days - Open to incoming 9th and 10th Grade Members

Open to all incoming 9th-12th Grade Members
Cost to attend is $65 per member

August 17 - SD FFA State Fair Entry Forms Due to Mr. VanderWal (SD FFA Livestock Superintendent)

Be on the look out for camp/practices dates in the upcoming weeks. Our parade season starts a little bit earlier this year and the students want to be prepared for them.​

School News

School will be dismissed at 1:30PM tomorrow! We hope everyone has a safe and fun summer!!


The student book list for JH/HS students is ready.  You can visit the library and find out what you have checked out and need to return so you are ready for check out on Wednesday.  All library books must be returned or paid for before I can sign your check out sheet.  Mrs. Carsrud


JH/HS Students that earned 150 or more AR points for the school year are invited to a pizza party Today at noon in the Librarysponsored by Friends of the Woonsocket Library.  Students that have achieved this 
status are: Cage Boschee, Ashleigh Fry, Taylor Burkel, Nathan Linke, Xavier Baysinger, Graceana Terkildsen, Abi Fry, Wyatt Feistner, Noah Terkildsen, Madison Schmiedt, Lily Overson, Christian Howard, Andrew Lindgren, Sarah Baysinger, Bailey Huss, Aaron Linke and Tayla Weber.




COBORN’S LABELS DUE BY LAST DAY OF SCHOOL.  They expire in June~every receipt counts!
Feel free to send Box Tops, Coke points, pop tabs and Campbell’s labels as well.

Poetry Slam is at 1:30PM today in the gym!
