School News

Grades 3, 7, 8, and 11 will be doing Smarter Balanced testing this week!


Congratulations to the following students who will be inducted into the National Honor Society on May 5th at Twin Lakes at 6:30PM   Alissa Ball, Callie Bezpaletz, Abby Doering, Lauren Johnson, Nathan Linke, Trey Weber, and Tristan Ziebart. 


FRESHMAN IMPACT Today: you will need to be at school at 7:20am  to leave for Wessington Springs. Plan to be back to the school about 3:45pm that day.

HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: Prom Shirts and Cups need to be ordered by April 8th. There is a sign up sheet in Mr. Korbel’s room. Prom Shirts are required this year to get into Post Prom. 



  
Athletics


Track at Woony today.

Coach Weber's Round-Ball Camp will be held on Thursday, May 26 for students in grades 2nd - 8th next year.  Camp forms can be found on www.woonsocket.k12.sd.us under the Google Drive tab.  Forms are due by Friday, April 22nd so the shirts can be ordered in time for the camp.

FFA 

Sunday, April 10th-Tuesday, April 12th SC/W FFA will be attending the annual SD FFA State Convention in Brookings.  We will start bag checks at Woonsocket at 11: 50 a.m. and plan to leave by 12:10 p.m. We will then stop at Sanborn Central and plan to leave there by 12:30 p.m. and finally stop at Artesian and plan to leave there by 1:00 p.m.

Please notify Mr. Gross if you intend to get on the bus for State Convention anywhere other than the school where you are enrolled.  Pick up sites are Woonsocket, Sanborn Central, and Artesian.

    *Coborn's Labels for Learning - turn in by 5/20/16 for 6/1/15 expiration submission
    *Coke points - inside 12-packs, cases, and bottle lids
    *Campbell's Soup Labels for Education
    *Aluminum Pop Tabs
You can turn any and all of these in at any time...just send to school with your student, or drop off in the library!
