Dakota Wesleyan’s Healthcare
Professions Day, Thursday, December 3rd.
We are inviting
sophomore, junior, and senior students and their families who are interested in
pursuing a career in healthcare. This visit day provides a brief introduction
into nursing, athletic training and pre-medicine and is intended to give
students a real look into what it will take to be in the field of healthcare.
We are ordering Blackhawk
Jackets. You can order online by using the following website: If you have
any questions you can call and talk to Emily at the school. The jackets should
be in by Christmas.
The WEPC is selling hats, gloves,
scarves, and headbands again. An order form can be found on the Google Drive.
Orders are due next Wednesday.

GB at SC
Boys JH Practice and HS Open Gym
at Woony
6th Grade GBB Traveling Team
Practice on Saturday, November 28th at SC at 11AM.
The 3rd/4th Grade Basketball have practice on Saturday, November 28th at 10AM. Girls will be at SC and Boys will be in Woonsocket. A complete schedule can be found on the Google Drive.
Band
Congrats to Shay
Swenson, Bailey Schmiedt, Aaron Linke, Kadin Schlenker, Nathan Linke,
and Kyla Morgan for being selected for the Region V High School
Honor Band. We will be leaving from Woonsocket at 6:30am Monday Nov 30th.
Concert will be in the Gregory Memorial Auditorium at
6:30pm. Admission will be $3.00 for adults and $2.00 for
students. Meals are $10 for the day. Students can bring
along concert dress clothes (instead of wearing all day) to change
into after supper. We will arrive back around 10pm
FFA
FFA Fruit will
be delivered to Woonsocket on Wednesday, December 2nd. Please plan
accordingly so that we can get this fruit out and delivered the same day.
Wessington Springs FFA is
hosting a Donkey Basketball tournament on December 4th at 7 p.m. in the W.S.
gym. Sanborn Central/Woonsocket FFA will be taking on W.S. FFA in the
first round. Second round matches the W.S. staff against the FFA alumni.
The winner of each round will then face off in a championship game. The
community is welcomed and encouraged to attend and cheer on their team. Advance
tickets are $6, tickets at the door are $8, pre-schoolers get in free.
All proceeds will be donated to the food pantry.
FFA Members, please talk to Mr.
Gross if you are interested in being on our FFA Donkey Basketball team.
You must be older than 16 and weigh less than 225 lbs.
