Seniors and Parents - Financial Aid night will be November 7th at 6:00pm at the Woonsocket School. We will be learning about the Federal Student Aid Application (FASFA) and school loans.


SDSU is hosting their annual SDSU School Day on Saturday, November 5th as the Jackrabbits host the Missouri State Bears. Kick off is at 2:00pm. The school that brings the largest group of fans will win an appearance from SDSU cheerleaders, dance team, and Jack their mascot. Tickets will be discounted! Click here for more information.

FFA

Crystalyx Cards sale is coming to close. FFA Members need to finish up their sales. Return the stubs of sold cards and the money to Mr. Gross. If you have unsold cards, they MUST be returned to Mr. Gross to be sent back to the company. November 4th is the deadline.


SCW FFA will leave for District 4 FFA Leadership Development Events (LDEs) at 12:30 p.m. from Woonsocket and 12:45 p.m. from Sanborn Central on Monday, November 7th.

The Senior Class will be conducting a Mock Election on Tuesday, November 8th. All K-12 Students will be able to vote during first block. The Seniors have been working hard to prepare and get ready for this event! Voting will take place in the High School History Classroom.

Co-Ed Volleyball at Sanborn Central on Sunday’s. We will start on November 13^th and the 20^th, then December 4^th, 11^th and 18^th.  It will cost $15 per person. Teams will consist of 3 men and 3 women playing.  If you have a team ready to go, just let me know, Tambi.wormstadt@fcsamerica.com or 605-770-3077. Or you can talk to any booster club member.  Otherwise if you don’t have a team and would still like to play, come and we will put you with a team if we can.  We will start at 3 pm each Sunday and go until teams have played.  There will be a waiver to sign if you are playing.  Hope to see you there!!

Community News


Winter Gear Drive
The Town & Country Kids 4H Club (red group) along with Woonsocket's Sixth Grade students will be collecting new or gently used winter gear for all ages. The donations will be distributed to anyone needing coats, snow pants, gloves/mittens, hats and scarves for the cold weather.

The collection will be held from now until November 15th. If you wish to donate, collections boxes will be places around Woonsocket or at the 6th Grade classroom.

Anyone needing winter wear can come to Woonsocket's 6th Grade classroom on Wednesday, November 16th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Individuals who can not attend at the scheduled time may call the school office to arrange another time. Any winter ear left over will be donated to the Rose Bud Reservation.

Needed Items - Gently used or new adult and child sizes:

• Gloves or Mittens
• Snow Pants
• Scarves
