School News

Grades 3, 7, 8, and 11 will be doing Smarter Balanced testing next week Monday through Friday. Please make sure you are to school on time and well rested!

7-12th Students------Eligibility will be taken on April 5, Tuesday morning (Mr. Weber will be gone on Monday).


The Woonsocket Jump Rope for Heart Fundraiser will be ending on Friday, April 1st. Please have all donations turned into Mr. Rodriguez. Thanks!


The  JH Play will be held Today in the school gym at 1PM and admission is $1. The Adult Community Play and JH Play is Thursday and Friday at 7PM. Spaghetti Supper at 5:30PM tonight. 


HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS: Prom Shirts and Cups need to be ordered by April 8th. There is a sign up sheet in Mr. Korbel’s room. Prom Shirts are required this year to get into Post Prom. 


Boys Varsity BB uniforms for sale-----We have a couple pair of Medium and Large shorts left and a few jerseys.  Get a hold of Coach Weber-  Rod.Weber@k12.sd.us  605-350-5374   $20 each item, first come first serve.  Money raised will go towards next year's uniforms.



NEEDED..................Soccer Coaches!!!!!!We can't have soccer teams if we don't have coaches.

Next Week: Golf pics at 2:30, SC track bus leaves at 2:40PM with Track pics at 2:50PM on Wednesday, April 6th. Track Practice will be in Woony that day.


Coach Weber's Round-Ball Camp will be held on Thursday, May 26 for students in grades 2nd - 8th next year.  Camp forms can be found on www.woonsocket.k12.sd.us under the Google Drive tab.  Forms are due by Friday, April 22nd so the shirts can be ordered in time for the camp.

The Blackhawks Concert Band will be attending Contest in Chamberlain on today. We will be leaving at 8:15am as we have a warm-up time at 11:05am. We perform at 11:30am. We will stay to watch several other groups perform. I hope to be back to school by the end of the day. Concert dress is concert black.​ Bring money for lunch.

Reminder: School will dismiss at 1:30PM today. There is also no School on Friday, March 25th and Monday, March 28th!!

    Circus Time: Hooray! The Yelduz Shrine Circus will be coming to the Huron Arena on Monday, March 28th. The performances are at 3:00 p.m. and 6 p.m.

    Tickets are available from Ms. Lynch or Emily Olson until 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 24th. Tickets may be requested also by calling the school (796-4431) or sending a note with your child requesting the number of tickets. They will be sent home with your child.
