The schedule for the 5th/6th Grade Cancer Tournament on Saturday has been uploaded to the Google Drive.

The Blackhawks will play Wolsey-Wessington in the Championship game Thursday at the Dakota Dome in Vermillion. Kickoff for that game is approximately 1:30PM.

We are having a celebration get together for the Blackhawk football players and coaches at the Old Lumber Company on the second floor (there is an elevator for those who need it) in Vermillion on Thursday starting around 5:30 or whenever the game is over.  All family and fans of the Blackhawks are welcome.  We will be serving pulled pork sandwiches, chips, and a salad.  There will be a free will donation box-suggested meal price is $10.  You will be responsible for purchasing your own drinks, other than water.  The address to the Old Lumber Company is 15 Court Street, Vermillion.  There is a parking lot on the South side of the building.

The 7th and 8th Grade Girls Basketball team have a tournament coming up on November 14th in Alexandria. Notes were sent home last week with players with information and practice times on it. Their first practice is schedule for this Wednesday, at Woonsocket. If some 7th/8th Graders have church and cannot make it to practice that is fine.

The 5th/6th Grade Girls & Boys Basketball Practice and Game Schedule has been added to the Google Drive. There have been updates made to the schedule. Due to conflicts with W. Springs, we have switched the home and away games with Wess. Springs.  We also changed a 4PM start time for Oct. 19.

Academics

Mitchell Technical Institute will be hosting My Technical Interest Days again this year. Registration forms and additional information about the events can be found atwww.mitchelltech.edu/admissions/campus-events and on the attached flier.

MyTI (pronounced "mighty") Days are an opportunity for students, along withinstructors, counselors, and administrators to visit the programs at Mitchell Technical Institute that are the “next steps” in career clusters of interest. The student may be enrolled those program courses in high school or just have an interest in that area

The following are the dates for the camps:
November 18, 2015 – Scrubs
March 8, 2016 – Culinary

You will notice that there is not a grade level of attendance for MyTI Days. I would say that camp is geared more toward that sophomore or junior student that is in the midst of career exploration, but I wouldn't discourage a senior who is trying to figure out what to do next year or a freshman with a great deal of interest in that area to apply either.

Registration is limited, so I would encourage your students to apply early.
